		<description>Newspapers will never learn because they are greedy - they want to make money by selling advertising on content they also sell and they won't give up either revenue stream to any degree(or the idea that they provide a public service that no one else can match).  Advertisers (Customer #1) want a large audience (read: free content), yet newspapers will not invest in giving them what they want. Subscribers (Customer #2) want good interactive relevant content, yet when profits go down they reduce their investment in content, no, can't invest there.  They sat idly by for so long, wondering when this fad called the Internet would go away...and their only strategy is to get rid of high price senior management, and replace with slightly different slightly higher paid senior management, usually from some other newspaper (as opposed to any industry displaying the slightest amount of ingenuity).  I watch over the last 10 years and I see the same newspaper people come and go and rotate between the various brands, not fit for other work, and not surprisingly the ideas they generate are virtually the same as they have been year after year.  Of course we knew all of this already, which is why we don't work at newspapers anymore, right?</description>
